Terms of service
Last updated: June 2026.
Rent N Roll is a Philippine peer-to-peer camera rental marketplace. We connect owners and renters; we are not the owner of listed cameras except where stated. By using Rent N Roll you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy.
Pre-launch. Rent N Roll is not yet publicly launched. Business registration is in progress. During pre-launch, listings and bookings are limited to Metro Cebu (Cebu City, Mandaue City, Lapu-Lapu City, and Talisay City). Payments are processed through PayMongo; custodial wallet features operate under our current merchant setup, not as a BSP-licensed e-money issuer.
Identity verification
Renters and owners must complete identity verification (legal name and government ID) before booking or listing. We use this to prevent fraud, enforce rental contracts, and resolve disputes. Verification documents are handled as described in our Privacy policy.
Bookings and payments
To request a booking, the renter signs the rental contract and pays the all-in rental amount, service fee, and security deposit. Delivery costs, if any, are arranged with the owner or courier and paid outside Rent N Roll; they are not part of the custodial hold. Payment processing (1.5%) is charged at QR checkout separately from the custodial hold. Funds are held in Rent N Roll's custodial wallet until release rules apply. The owner may accept only after payment is received and has 24 hours from payment to do so; if the owner declines or the window passes, the renter is refunded in full. On acceptance the rental proceeds and the deposit continues to be held until return is confirmed and any issue is resolved.
Listing cameras
Owners set a daily rate and may offer lower day rates for longer rentals. New listings and moderated edits are reviewed before going live; owners may pause and resume their own listings. Cameras must be accurately described and handed off in the advertised condition. Owners set pickup and return times. At pickup, the owner must upload at least 3 proof photos and confirm handoff. At return, the renter must upload at least 3 proof photos and confirm return.
Late returns
The agreed return time in the rental contract is binding. After the grace period stated in the contract, daily late fees apply. If a late return overlaps a confirmed, paid booking for the same listing, the late renter also owes overlap compensation: each overlapping day at that next booking's daily rate (not the full value of the next booking). Charges may be applied from the security deposit and remaining hold, up to their combined balance. Rent N Roll may reduce or waive charges on documented review; waiver is not automatic. See your signed contract for the exact formula.
Cancellations
A renter who cancels before the owner accepts is refunded everything paid, including fees where applicable. After acceptance, each listing's Flexible, Moderate, or Strict tier determines the refund on the rental amount; the deposit is refunded in full, delivery costs paid outside Rent N Roll are handled outside the custodial refund, and the service fee is not refunded. Owner cancellations after acceptance refund the renter in full, and the owner pays a ₱200 penalty subject to balance rules. Repeated owner cancellations may lead to account review.
Damage and disputes
Handoff photos are the condition record. If a camera is returned damaged, the owner must contact Rent N Roll support before deposit release. The team reviews evidence with both parties and decides how the deposit is applied. Using our support process is optional and does not waive your rights under Philippine law, including filing with courts or the DTI. Reported no-shows require photo evidence, include a 48-hour contest window, and are decided by our team before funds move.
Account suspension
Repeat no-shows, fraudulent claims, or terms violations can lead to temporary or permanent suspension.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Philippine law. Rental contracts may specify additional terms, including venue for court actions within limits allowed by law.
