Rent N Roll ("we", "us") operates a Philippine peer-to-peer camera rental marketplace at rentnroll.store. This notice explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173).
Pre-launch. Rent N Roll is not yet publicly launched. Business registration (DTI/BIR) and upgraded payment licensing are in progress. Payment processing uses PayMongo; we do not claim BSP EMI status until that upgrade is complete.

What we collect
- Account data: email, phone number, username, GCash name, profile photo
- Identity verification (renters and lenders): legal name, date of birth, government ID type, ID number, ID photos, and selfie. This is sensitive personal information under RA 10173.
- Booking and contract data: listings, bookings, signed rental contracts, signatures, IP addresses at signing, handoff photos, messages, ratings
- Payment data: wallet balances, transaction records, payment screenshots for top-ups or payouts, PayMongo checkout references
- Technical data: device/browser logs, cookies needed for login and security
Why we use it (lawful bases)
- Contract performance: operate bookings, payments, handoffs, and rental contracts
- Legitimate interests / legal obligation: fraud prevention, dispute resolution, no-show and damage investigations, platform safety
- Consent: government ID submission at verification (you may withdraw consent by closing your account; some data may be retained where required by law or for pending disputes)
Who receives your data
- Your booking counterparty during an active rental: username, phone, GCash name, handoff photos, and messages
- Rent N Roll admins for verification, moderation, disputes, and support
- Service providers: Supabase (hosting/database), PayMongo (payments), Resend (transactional email), Vercel (hosting). Bound by data processing agreements or equivalent safeguards.
- We do not sell your personal data.
Retention
We keep account and booking data while your account is active and as needed to resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce our terms. Signed contracts and verification records for completed or disputed bookings may be retained for several years for dispute and fraud prevention purposes. You may request deletion (see below); we will delete or anonymize where no legal or operational need remains.
Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, and role-based restrictions on verification documents. Only authorized staff may access government ID images.
Your rights
Under RA 10173 you may request access, correction, objection, erasure, or portability where applicable. Email support@rentnroll.store with your request. You may lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
Changes
We will update this notice before material changes and adjust the date above. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes acknowledgment where permitted by law.
